Homecoming 09

Okay, I contacted them and they said we can have sec 209 row M for 18 seats. The cost is $48 a ticket. I am attaching the link for the stadium. We would be left of the kids, but very close, yet the second tier.

What do you think?

I am leaving it to the others for which parking lot we will tailgate in!

My sister came from Cincy OH and brought special brats, bison, chicken medit, basil chicken, spicy, smoked kielbasi, skinless franks, beef franks, etc. I have 2-3 doz ready to grill, and Harris Teeters has buy 1 get 1 for burgers, (which puts us at 32 burgers) we are ready to go!

Start chiming in for defs. I do not want to eat the cost of the ticket, but at the same time I do not want to lose these tickets.

Maryland Athletics - University of Maryland Official Athletic Site

Are you sure that’s not 309? Section 209 is supposedly reserved for Terrapin Club members.

Sounds good to me. You still buying the block and we are paying you?

Two of us are in! I’ll watch for your response to centh.

Terp I went through UMD and it said 209, but then the site disappeared. I am wondering if it was because of the start of the yr. I was busy Friday, what I am going to do tomorrow is call the 800 Terps number and see if we can get a discount for a large block. I am hoping they will since we are supposedly at 18, I have done this before and they give a code and a deadline date. This way you call them directly give them your credit card and they ship the tickets directly to you. If you miss the date then those tickets go back into the pool for anyone and everyone.

What’s the scoop on the tickets, pima? Just wanted to make sure I didn’t forget to do something. (which, um, HAS been known to occur!!!)

I am sorry, I thought I had posted this, so bear with me.

LW, on Tuesday, Bullet’s mother was operated on for colon cancer, we were hoping that it would go fine, and just require follow up radiation. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed stage 3, and now will undergo chemo for 6 months. Due to the fact that we live 4 hrs away, we are backing out of homecoming. We just don’t want to risk that we might have to rush back home. We have intentions of going every other weekend, but at this time they(his sister and him) have not made a decision on the schedule. We feel that since she is the only child living there and taking the brunt of the burden, we will allow her to tell us when she needs weekend coverage. Her DD is very active in dance and cheering so it comes down to her waiting for the fall competition schedule to be released.

Sorry guys, I guess I was caught up in her being operated that I totally forgot about this.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law, pima.

Our family went through colon cancer with my dad almost 2 years ago and it required an entire family effort to ensure he was ok. It sounds like your mother-in-law is in good hands.

We had a positive outcome (he is now cancer-free) and my thoughts and prayers are that you and your family will have the same.

You and Bullet will be in our thoughts… We are constantly reminded that our priorities need a reality check. We’ll be sending good healing vibes her way. Knowing that you are there to give her a break will make a huge difference in your SIL’s life, as well. Peace.

No sweat, Pima, all the best to you and your family. /hug
