homecoming football game question

So I'm planning on going to the minnesota game on october 5th and was wondering if anything is run differently entering the stadium or during the game since its homecoming. It's the first time we're going to a homecoming football game so just wanted to check.

The biggest difference is that at Homecoming there is an alumni band. There are also a number of alumni reunion events that weekend and the alumni attending those events generally go to the game. There are also events that take place on campus during the week of the game but I think that it is de-emphasized from where it used to be.

For the most part, it is just like any other football game. In the days when they couldn’t fill the stadium it was a way to market a game which is why it is never scheduled for a marquee matchup.

Book your hotel and restaurants way in advance. There will be many alumni in town bringing their families.

^Well if he hasn’t booked by now I’m sure it’s too late to get anywhere in Ann Arbor to stay. It’s easy enough to find a place like 20 minutes away though.
