I am a first year and I will be taking Chem 14A next quarter with Scerri. I have heard all of the stories of how many freshmen start on the pre-med track and later find out that they can't even pass chem.

Should there be any reason to worry. I have heard from alot of people that if you study the course reader for his class you guarantee yourself at least a "B".

Is there any truth to the reviews on bruinwalk.com? I just want a second opinion before I start my career towards medicine.

don't base your desire to go into medicine based on the difficulty or the here-say. If you want to really be a doctor, just sweat it out, work your *** off and do well. That said, Chem 14A is not an easy class. You have to work hard to to well. But you will probably get what you work for (i.e. if you want that A its gonna take a ton of work but it IS possible). Also, there are no guarantees.
