Although i do agree with him in some aspects I think college admissions are different now. Well not that it got harder but there’s more competition. He applied to MIT when writing on the SAT wasn’t even there. I remember my uncle got into great UC’s with a 3.8 and a 1800 but now the same UC’s reject those and now are demanding more.
He said you don’t have to take lots of AP and this is true. However, he did take a lot and I’m sure that helped him get into MIT.
How often do you see someone with a 3.8 GPA get into MIT today?
