Honors chem vs regular

I'm a freshman and we just got our schedule for our sophomore year i have honors algebra 2

trig, ap euro, honors english and french.

BUT the problem is, is that i can't decide if i should take honors chemistry or regular cuz i

heard honors chemistry is extremely hard and i dont want to fail it. Say if i chose regular

chemistry then my work load would lighten up a bit BUT its not as challenging as honors

chem and i could do better in algbera 2 and ap euro since there is less stress.

If i take honors chem on the other hand it would greatly affected my grades in all of my

classes because theres so much stress and i have to stay up very late everday BUT

colleges will favor on honors since its a challenging course right?

which is better a C/B on honors chemistry or an A in regular??

It’s all about the teacher you get. My honors biology teacher was a lottt easier than one of the Regular Biology teachers. Also, at my school the only real difference between Honors and Regular is a project we do throughout the semester and present at the end. So don’t rule out the class. Try it out for the first few days, and if you’re still cautious about it then just drop down to Regular.

It depends where you’re going to college, but opting for the easier class never looks good. Getting a B/C in honors versus an A in regular is a big difference though, and I’d probably lean toward the A looking better.

But I say take honors and don’t settle for a B. It’s more work, but in the end it looks so much better. It’s not AP Chem, so it can’t be THAT hard, can it?
