Honors Class Registration

Hey guys! I was accepted into the Burnett Honors College at UCF, and now that I’m trying to plan out my courses for the fall semester, I’m a bit overwhelmed with information. I’ve got a few questions about the requirements.

First off - according to http://ooha.honors.ucf.edu/home/honors-registration there’s a limit to two Honors courses per semester. What I can’t seem to figure out is whether that includes the Symposium or not. It says to sign up for two “plus honors symposium”, but I’m a little worried; this is the only page I can find that mentions it at all, and it’s driving me crazy.

Second, when I was looking through courses on myUCF, there seemed to be two different types of Honors Symposium - a lab and a lecture. Do we have to sign up for both? Only one? Is there really a difference at all?

Finally, the aforementioned webpage mentions that you need 12 hours of Honors courses in the General Education Program. If there’s anyone here who actually attends UCF and is in the Honors college, I’d love some feedback on which to take! If I can do two for my freshman year, I’m leaning toward Fundamentals of Oral Communication.and probably General Psychology since my other Communication requirements are taken care of by my AP scores and I can’t seem to find an Honors equivalent for any of the GEP math requirements.

Thanks!

With whar stats did you get accepted? Sat/gpa?
I just wanted to compare them to mine because im highly interested in this school.
