<p>Happy New Year everyone! Well I am applying to Exeter and Andover for tenth grade and I am kind of worried about my classes that I am taking right now. I am currently in ninth grade and I am only in 2/4 possible honors classes. On the first day of school I asked my counselor if I could switch to honors english, I believed that a bigger challenge can help me improve in the class since it is my weakest subject (I was placed in regular since I got a A- in eighth grade). BUt she said I was too late and would have to wait for next year. So I am a little worried if this will effect me, any advice?</p>
<p>TBH, this may affect you a tiny bit. Especially E and A, they’re looking for kids who take the hardest classes they can at their current schools and still get more A’s than B’s. Of course, there are other factors but academic rigor is a big part the application for both schools. If you can do well in everything else (SSAT, good rec’s, good EC’s), you shouldn’t worry too much</p>
