I am a sophomore in a high school. I was doing pretty good in my Precalculus Honors class and got As in most of the quizzes i had. However, i had to take only one day off school for something important. It was an excused absence. But i missed a HUGE load of stuff that day, and when I came back, I just didn’t seem to understand what was even happening in the class. I had a 100 point test the next day, and i tried my best to go through the stuff i missed, but i got 64 points on my test. I tried taking so many after-school classes and went to my teacher during my lunch to understand what i missed. But we have a quiz every other day. And I’m failing desperately. I can’t seem to understand what i missed and what’s being taught. I’m heading towards an F in Precalculus Honors. Im getting As in every other class but this is hurting my GPA and overall academic career. Please help!
Can you see the teacher or guidance counselor and ask if you can go to tutoring? Do you have a classmate who is really good in the class who would be willing to explain some things to you?
Last year my D and some of her classmates formed a study group and would review together before tests.
I do have some friends who are really good at the class, but will i have to start all over again and go over all the topics again?
Since you were doing well until recently, maybe start with where you were having problems? Also go over the quiz review and see what is unclear.
