Honors College Question

If I apply to the Honors College, am I still considered for the regular colleges?

I seriously couldn't find this explicitly written on the website.

You are applying to both…when you fill out reg app and put in high enough scores and grades you will be invited to complete honors app. I think you can do honors separate but you still fill out reg app. Take time on all the essays. They really are read carefully. It’s a great program… good luck.

Yes. As scmom said, you apply to both. You apply for USC as a whole and then if your scores are high enough, it will give you the Honors Application (or you can call and ask for it).

You’re likely to hear your USC admission before you hear of your honors college admission.

Thank you both for your responses. I greatly appreciate them!

However, what if my self reported scores aren’t high enough and I’m not invited while filling out the regular freshman application?

Can anyone apply?

Yes anyone can apply - you just have to call and ask for an application… they’ll mail it to you and you just send it back (at least, this is what I did)

You might want to call admissions and find out dates and stuff from them…if you are applying to honors, the deadlines are pretty early (Nov. 15) and it’s a long application since it doubles as scholarship app for the big merit scholarships. If you think you need more test scores, be sure you know the latest scores dates considered for honors.
