Honors engineering

How would you describe the honors engineering experience at Rutgers? Please be honest and give as many details as you can; I want to hear the good and the bad.

I'm trying to figure out how Rutgers compares to top schools. One thing I'm considering is that one of my interviewers said that schools like rutgers and njit train engineers in a certain way that makes them more knowledgeable at first, but then those with MIT or Ivy backgrounds have more skills. (Obviously this could have been biased, but i'm still curious)

What the interviewers might have been referring to is research opportunities. Ivy leagues have vast resources and connections that allow their students more opportunities for research, so Ivy league students walk out with more skills.

However, employers don’t put much weight into what school you graduated from. What matters is what you do during school.

So wouldn’t doing certain research be something you do during school? How do research opportunities compare at Rutgers?
