<p>I'll answer both.</p>

<p>Honors is a program where you do an honors curriculum ON TOP of your regular curriculum. I quote a fellow forumer at the MyUCLA forums Jawlz with, "In addition to having access to small classes with generally exceptional professors (some notables are former secretary of state Warren Christopher, who teaches a class, as does Pulitzer Prize winning author Jared Diamond; having a class with them opens the opportunity to get letters of rec from them for applying to grad schools), you are allowed to check out books from the library for an entire term, AND you get priority enrollment (you get to enroll in two classes before the general ucla population does)."</p>

<p>If you're doing it just for the notation, stop now and just focus on your GPA.</p>
