I got invited to the March one, so is it worth the visit?
I saw previous discussions and they said that it changed a lot of their perspective but I was wondering if it was still the same for recent years .

I feel it is worth it. For some it confirmed that UCI was the right school for them. In our case, it confirmed that it wasn’t.
What is your major? It was very worth the visit for my son, who is an engineering major.
@StillLotsToLearn it was in the School of Social Sciences. Great that it sealed the deal for your son. That’s the purpose of the day.
I wasn’t sure how much I should say, but let me just put this info out there with a DISCLAIMER: I don’t know if this happens every year or if it was a one-time deal or if it is something in between.
Two years ago DS and I attended Honors Experience Day. During the talks by major, the School of Engineering said that the CHP engineering students that were there in attendance (and only those students) would be invited to apply for the Heny Samueli Endowed Scholarship. They anticipated awarding 13-15 of them that year; the odds were pretty good. DS was later emailed a link to the application with a code. Let’s just say that the Samueli scholarship is much better than the Regents scholarship.
