<p>Does anyone know if Honors housing is guaranteed for 4 years? If so, how does that work in terms of dorm choices each year? Is there a seperate honors lottery? After starting at Brett Hall as freshmen, do students tend to stay there for 4 years? If no, is there a better dorm that students shoot for in upperclass years? Thanks</p>

<p>Honors housing is not guaranteed for 4 years. Each year there is an honors lottery and if you get it, great. I would say some sort of honors housing is probably guaranteed, but Brett is the most popular and hardest to get. I'll be living in Brett the fall of my junior semester, but most people only stay for 2 years. After that, they either move to different dorms (ie the Easton Ave apartments) or move off campus. Some do stay in brett all four years, but its rare.</p>
<p>Supermtt...is there a way of finding out if an incoming freshman has gotten into Brett? I know the standard response is to wait until [is it July]? I'm wondering if there's a way of getting the information earlier. The reason for the question is, if they aren't on College Ave, I doubt our guys will want to attend RU. Also, what % of honors students who want to stay in Brett can not due to a bad lottery draw?</p>
<p>I don't know if they are able to give you any information earlier... you can try calling the housing office, but I doubt you'll get anything out of them. (maybe you can get your odds, though). 732-932-7017</p>
<p>Usually it's not a problem to get into Brett for sophomore year or later... even if you get a bad lottery number, you can usually find someone who needs a roomate who has a good enough lottery number (you get to use the higher of the two).</p>
