Honors Humanities

Can anyone give me insider information about the honors humanities program, like whether they think it's worth it, freshman housing, the people, the classes, etc?

Thanks a million!

Our S has been researching this program and is thrilled with what he's learned. He visited recently and felt that HH would give him an opportunity to study the sciences and math as well as have an opportunity to explore in depth the arts and humanities which also interest him. It has the feeling of a small LAC, living learning community within the context of a larger research university. It is the most selective of the honors programs, accepting merely 50 or so students or about 1% of the freshman class.

Does it only accept 50 or do only about 50 end up enrolling?

I received an invite for Honors humanities but not gemstone =/

The housing for Honors Humanities students is in a great location-- it's very close (3 minute walk) to McKeldin Library, the Mall (where most CORE academic buildings are housed) and also the business school and English building. It's also right by the South Campus dining hall. It's about a 10-minute walk to the football stadium.

My D. just got an invite for the Honors Humanities, too. Any other feedback from folks who've participated?
