I got into Honors but no Harrison.

I was really surprised I even got into honors.
My stats:
Sat I
720m
700cr
650w

SATII
780 (Math level 2)
690 (Literature)

3.8 weighted GPA
Just in top 20% of my class.

It makes me a lot keener on going there now that I got into Honors.

hmmm...wow everyone of my friends who got in there had like 1450+ SAT's/top 5% in class...you must have had som pretty good ec's

Yeah that would certainly be my strong point. I have a whole range of ecs headed by a service program that I started. I'm really happy to have gotten in.

Now if only I can get into Duke and Vanderbilt...

i got mine the 26, honors but no harrison--still happy tho :)

Wow, they lowered their honors's stats a lot. It used to be ACT=32, top 2% of class - 200 top applicants. Wonder how many they accept to honors now. Miami Honors is very good. Lots of merit $$ and tons more for returning students with high college GPA.

?? Honors was never an auto-admit program based on class rank and SAT/ACT scores, and plenty of students were admitted with lower ranks or scores... Last year, they also admitted more than 200 students; the goal was to yield 200 students. This year, I think the goal is a yield of 400, but I might be off on that.

They listed req's at Honors' Saturday. I do not know any other sources of this info.

No, those are class averages... certainly not requirements.

this is off topic..i know you guys are discussing the honors program, but does anyone know when early action/decision applicants should find out? i received an email that said on or about feburary 1st which is kind of vague. does that mean end of january or around a week or 2 after february 1st..?
