Honors notification

I got an email about 2 weeks ago telling me I was accepted into the honors program. Should i expect anything via snail mail as well?

nope (10chr)

Can I ask you how long did it take them to give you a decision after you emailed the honors essay?

hmmmm
last year, i was notified by snail mail.

Yes, how long did it take for you to get a decision? I emailed mine February 15 and still haven't heard back at all.

It took me a week exactly to get the decision. I sent in the app. about 3 weeks ago. I was talking to UMs director of recruiting and she said it takes 2-3 weeks on average, but coming off of a lot of high school spring breaks, it could take a little longer as a bunch of people sent in their apps then.

i sent mine in about the beginning of janurary and have yet to hear anything. I know this means i'm probably rejected but any idea when I should get at least a notification?

From what I have heard, they do not notify you if you have not been accepted. But there is no certain point where all hope is lost. they do rolling admit. I know of people last year who applied in december and didn't hear until march.

got a reject email today
lame

I'm starting to think they do things alphabetically.

I know that sounds odd, but I sent my stuff in February 1st and got my acceptance March 5.

My last name starts with either A,B,C lol. I know it sounds odd, but that's my theory.

lmao
either a,b, or c?

DD was accepted into honors program yesterday. She found out via email. Last name starts with L. She sent it in on 1/25.

Whoo! Just got into honors program.
