honors Phys/ap bio/ap chem?

i'm a sophmore right now and last week i just went to my GC to plan my schedule for next year. i was recommended for all 3 but i don't kno which one to choose. i kno tho i can do a comb of 2. any suggestions? i really wanna go to wharton school of business

I'm not familiar with business so I have no basis to provide you with advice on which courses to take to improve your chances. Also I am a firm believer in taking classes that you have an interest in. So first of all do you have an interest in two of the three subjects, if so then take them. If not then I suggest you take AP Chem and AP Bio because they are introduce you to two different ways to study, logic vs. rote memorization. Also Chem requires problem sets while Bio is a lot of reading. Physics involves calculus so if you have AP Calc now than that would be a good course but only take it if you math skills are superior or you find yourself buried in hours of problem sets. Essentially you should take them all, but if I had to really choose Chem and Bio all the way. They are the greatest courses ever!

I'm currently in AP Chemistry as a sophomore and it is, without a doubt, one of my favorite classes of all time. I don't have any experience with the other two, but I'd reccomend AP Chemistry (only if you're pretty good at math, though!).

If it were me it would be AP Biology, just because Chemistry is so annoying and boring (well, not the labs, but the subject matter) :D.

I'm good at math and Chemistry is hard for me! The memorization in chem is harder than in Bio, because you have to memorize math related formulas/equations. It drives me crazy,

ap bio!
im taking ap phy-c right now. its HARD, and ap phy-c requires calc backgrounds.
i heard that ap chem is the hardest ap...

i heard AP physics was thhe hardest.....

I loved AP Chem.
I'm currently in AP non-Calculus based Physics. I'm not an uber fan of it.

Take whatever that interests you. And think about who's teaching the class. I took AP bio with a teacher who is an arrogant jerk who knew nothing about teaching. As a result, I began to hate biology at the end of the year. On the other hand, AP chem was amazing because the teacher was just organizesd and awesome.

Physics is a *****!

stay away from ap chem by all means

WOW. a great mix of different opinions.
i have honors chem and the teacher i have right now is also the teacher for ap chem. i love BUT i also hate her. she's funny and nice but god, she doesn't teach a thing. and her tests r hard i must admit.
about physics, i'm currently in H algebra 2, next year, if everything goes the way it should be, i'll be taking HPrecal-BC -- highest level math in 11thgrade. but most of the kids will be taking honors physics tho, even the ones who's getting Cs in alg.

i utterly hated AP chem and i love Bio. id recommend taking bio since you're going to business school and its more of a memorization science rather than mathematical ones like chem and physics.

If you take AP Physics, they count it as two APs, and it's much easier than the other two.

^^^^really?
I've never heard that before

There's two tests for AP Physics C.

ap chem isn't remotely as difficult as ap physics. The type of logic involved is very basic and doesnt involve very much mathematical manipulation. Also, the concepts are relatively easy to grasp and there is no need to have a deep and versatile grasps of conceptual material as needed in physics. Bio on the other hand, is just rote memorization. It probably takes more time than the other two, but doesnt require much thinking.

now the dean is sayin that ap bio will probably be, check this out, 'reserved' for seniors. altho they r not 100percent sure. but if i can, i'll try to get bio. just cuz it's more interesting to me. i don't really like memorizing math formulas period. i'm not bad at it all tho, b/c i have a pretty solid math foundation. anywys thx for your helpful inputs!

I'm very good in math, but I'm absolutely horrible with chemistry because I cannot memorize the math formulas and rules and steps in chem.

Bio is easier to memorize for me.

AP Chem is not all that math based, it is really just apply concepts.
AP Bio is basically pure memorization
Physics is a lot of concepts with a significant amount of math.

In terms of difficulty for me:
AP Physics > AP Bio > AP Chem

they all aren't too difficult
As a junior im taking AP Chem, AP bio and Hp physics
Ap chem is definitely one of the harder ones,
it all depends on your preferences
Ap bio- good at memorization
Ap chem- good at math and remember formulas and exceptions
Physics- good at math very important
