Does anyone know whether or not there are later opportunities to become eligible for the UCLA honors program? All my friends got a notice in their acceptance letters except me... :( Also, if there are later times to become eligible, do you know where that info is stated. Thanks!

Why are there so many threads about this? Anyway:

Don't sweat it if you don't apply now. You can apply any quarter you want as long as you meet the eligibility (it's like a 3.5 cumulative GPA once you're here). Here's the official UCLA explanation for it:

Continuing UCLA Students: All current and Continuing UCLA Students may qualify for admission to College Honors on the basis of a cumulative UC grade point average of 3.5 or higher with at least 12 graded units taken at UCLA. You must also be able to complete all required honors coursework prior to graduation. To apply, please sign-up for a College Honors Orientation for Continuing Students through the Workshops link on MyUCLA attendance is mandatory.

Important note for new Freshmen and Transfer students currently in their 1st quarter at UCLA: If you did not apply or were denied admission to College Honors as an incoming student you must now qualify as a "Continuing UCLA Student" based on the criteria above. Your high school or transfer GPA no longer applies.
