Hey! Congrats! What major/school did you apply to? Just wondering, anybody set on going to Northeastern? What do you think of the program? Dorms? It's definitely a possibility for me because of the money I received and the honors program but I'm still waiting to hear back from RD schools in the spring. What other schools are you guys looking at too?

In title to Thread, maybe you can put NORTHEASTERN…so it is eaiser to tell from title.

I’m a freshman in the honors program right now, so let me know if you have any questions!

Hey, i got into the honors program, and i was wondering just exactly how hard it is? Are you able to have much of a social life? What is the workload like, does it basically consume your life?

^hahaha, it does not consume your life at all.

Honors program classes are designed to be smaller, not more difficult. I do suppose it may vary by major though. I took two honors courses this fall, and I rarely had homework in either of them.

I got into the honors program and i applied to CBA for Marketing.
I think the program is great. I like how they’re not necessarily meant to be harder. I seem really worthwhile.
NEU is my #2. There is a good chance that I’ll be going, but not definite. It’s like a 50% chance.
The other schools I’m looking into are NYU (#1), Fordham (Accepted), BU, BC, Columbia, Harvard (I still can’t believe I’m even trying), RPI, Loyola Maryland, Siena (Accepted), Syracuse, and SUNY Binghamton.

I applied to CAS under mathematics but I’m thinking about changing…I was considering being a teacher, but now I’m leaning more towards undecided so I can really find out what I want to do in life.

I also applied to Fordham (accepted), BC (deferred ), UCONN, and will be applying to NYU, Notre Dame, and University of Delaware for RD.

Congrats everyone!

I’m accepted into the Honors Program at NEU, along with a 17k dean’s scholarship. I applied as a history major, but tending to double in also communications or sociology. NEU is one of my top half schools. It somewhat depends on the scholarships I get at other schools, since all but the UCs are out of state for me. I applied to:

Ithaca College, UCLA, UCSD, Clemson (accepted, 14k), Washington, Michigan (accepted), Alabama (accepted, 19.2k), Maryland, Miami, Virginia, UNC

I’m definitely considering NEU though, so finding out more information on this website has definitely helped.

Hey, congrats to you too… mine’s pharmacy

Moir, you really should take the intro to education course your first semester (it’s called Education in the Community). Fight to get in, I’m not joking. I wanted to be a teacher, and my advisor told me to take that course. By the end of it I realized I really really didn’t want to teach as much as I thought I did. My bf’s roommate however took it and realized teaching was his calling. It’s a great course just to figure out what you want to do, because it is really difficult to decide if you ACTUALLY want to be a teacher.
