i'm not sure whether or not to join my schools honors program...so i'm just looking for advice. because of the way it's scheduled, if i take honors i won't be able to take either general chemistry or calculus...would i be better off in terms of transfer applications w/the harder math/science courses or with honors. i'm thinking i should skip honors and stick to math and science....any thoughts?

If math/science classes are part of your major requirements, I think you should take those classes first. I have yet to find out for myself how much honors program helps in transfer admission. Personally for some reason, I do not think it is a major factor that they look for.

yea i probably should have mentioned my major....it's going to be environmental science/philosophy w/ a minor in the classics....so i know at least the science is required....i'm not sure about the math.

Interesting combo major. It depends on the system of evaluation used by the schools you hope to transfer to.
