Has anyone been notified yet about the honors program? My mom called IC today to ask a question about something else, and she also asked when they would start sending out decisions for honors. Apparently my letter was mailed out on the 27th but I haven't received it yet. The suspense is going to drive me nuts!

My son got a letter in tha mail today to apply for Honor 's college. He has decided against Ithaca as the money he got in scholarship is not enough and he wants a bigger city experience. Good luck to all going in -Ithaca class of 2017.

@ anghad - has he decided where he’s going?

Finally got my letter today saying I was accepted into the program :-)

My son is leaning towards the UMass as it is in state and he will be debt free when he finishes in 4 years.

Anghad, this is wise decision. Jennee98, so glad you heard from the honors program and that you were accepted! This will likely seal the deal on Ithaca? We are waiting in my house to hear about acceptance into this program. What date did you apply? Do you remember?

Mcwald - I don’t remember the exact date but it was around Feb. 15th. Your son made a smart decision by sending his app in early. They told me the deadline was March 15th, but I figured waiting would only slim my chances since decisions are on a rolling basis and they only accept 100 people.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that your son will hear good news very soon. Is Ithaca his first choice?
Ithaca is definitely where I want to be, and where I will be, as long as it’s financially possible.

I think my son sent his application for honors in about 3 weeks ago. I didn’t really expect that he would hear back so soon, but we were both hopeful. Yes, Ithaca is his first choice, but as you said, “If it is financially possible.” So, the wait continues…

Son accepted to honors today…hooray!

Congratulations! I’m so happy for your family!

Can the Acting BFA students do Honors?
