I would consider myself a pretty strong student with a solid academic/ec background, but my school doesn't weight grades which hurt my GPA and I didnt send my app early enough to get into the Hutton Honors program, but am direct admit to Kelley. Does this put me at a disadvantage academically speaking at IU and for when i apply to grad schools? what advantages to students who get into Hutton right from the beginning have over others? can you later qualify for the honors college after you arrive at IU?

It is possible to qualify for the Hutton Honors college if you can get a 3.7 GPA during your first semester at IU-Bloomington (and you take at least 14 units during that semester).
