I applied for both Honors and WISE with preference for Honors and also the scholars for medicine program..when do we get the decisions on them?...Two of my friends got into WISE but not the scholars for medicine...so i m freakin out a little..do they tell you even if u didnt get in?

I’m wondering when this gets sent out too

Apparently they’ve already begun sending them out, but an idea of over how long a period and such would be nice.

Chris said he’d let us know a bit after they started getting sent out, though, so, be patient.

Received an acceptance to Honors College today in the mail. The letter also mentioned that my file was forwarded to the Medical School Admissions Committee for further consideration. Hopefully, this translates to an interview—keeping my fingers crossed :)

Not sure if I’m right, but Scholars for Medicine is contingent upon being accepted to the Honor’s College, and there only something like 10-15 spots to fill for it.

Just received an email from the med school admissions office. Selected for an interview for the Scholars for Medicine Program! Good luck to all other applicants :)

Sorry - been busy. Honors/WISE notifications just went out; don’t know about University Scholars yet.

Chris

Thanks Chris! Are notifications by postal mail alone, or also be e-mail? If by e-mail as well, is it safe to assume we weren’t accepted if we didn’t receive anything by now?

Thanks Chris! and congrats to everyone who got in
should i call them and ask? or is that too desperate? i just cant stand not knowing!!!

Just got accepted to the Honors College Just wondering if anyone can tell me how much scholarship usually comes with it/ when will I know the scholarship? Thanks

hottofu, was it online?

it came through the mail

I got accepted to WISE the other day through mail I was also wondering about the scholarship

Son just got Email - accepted to University Scholars Program

He did not apply to Honors

I got an email today stating I was selected to be a University Scholar.
What does this mean?
Is it like Honors?

Got my letter, got into honors but not the scholar for medicine :(

I was wondering what happens when the people they offer the spot to decide to go to a different university…does someone who did not get in initially is offered the spot next?

Rejected from Honors College, accepted to University Scholars.

Little disappointed. It was expected though. Would have been nice to get in, but that was mostly because of the suite-styled dorms. My only other concern was priority course selection, and I’ve still got that. As long as I make departmental honors [Computer Science] I’ll be happy. Still intend to attend at the moment.

Manjyome sorry you did not get into the honors program…wow there must have been some really, really strong applicants this year if someone like you did not get in

Thanks raed247, I appreciate that. But yeah, probably a pretty strong applicant pool. I got into the Honors programs at a few private schools, so I thought I had a pretty strong chance. Scholars is still good, though.

sorry u didnt get in…i m surprised… but i think u can apply again after freshman year…btw wuts university scholars?
