I am currently taking 15 hours this semster. If I withdraw from the ones I am doing bad in then I will end up with 9 credit hours. I got a 2.68 or something last semester and I am trying to keep Hope. I am looking for A's and B's, but manly A's. If I don't manage to get hope is it good to go to a community college to regain hope and then trafer back because i cannot afford to pay tuttion for next year. I am looking to complete my core classes so I wont take them and maybe do bad in it. Please let me know what decision would be the smartest. Thanks,

Is the Hope a State or college scholarship? I don't know anything about it I am afraid. The very best, and absolutely essential thing, is to go and talk to the financial aid people at your school. They are the only ones that can give you a definitive answer to your question. We have found financial aid officers to be kind and helpful. Also make sure to talk to your academic adviser who can help you with class choices and decisions about dropping classes.

Hope scholarship is a state scholarship if I am not mistaken. I am not real familiar with it tho. Like swim said tho talk to your academic advisor and fin aid office. There could be repercussions depending on the number of classes dropped and/or dropping one school for a quarter, then leaving that one to go to another. For instance I friend of mine started one quarter but had to drop all classes because of an accident (she was getting several types of aid). When she came back the following quarter she was put on probation. So make sure you talk to someone real knowledgeable at the college to make sure you know what will happen depending on what you decide to do.

If it is the Georgia Hope Scholarship, this information may be helpful:

Students who are eligible to receive HOPE as entering freshmen may receive payment through the term during which the number of attempted (not earned) credits equals at least 30 semester or 45 quarter hours. However, all HOPE Scholarship recipients must have a grade point average of at least a 3.0 at the end of every Spring term in order to continue their eligibility, except for freshmen enrolled for less than 12 credit hours for each of their first three school terms. Freshmen recipients who enroll for less than 12 credit hours for each of their first three school terms must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0 at the end of their third term in order to continue their eligibility.
