Let me tell you a story. There was this boy called abetterlife. He moved to the US in his junior year and visited the state university. He was immediately smitten by it's business program. However, his class rank was 16%. Thus, he was dissapointed, but not suprised when he got waitlisted at UT. He did not even get into the school of liberal arts, and he was dreaming about McCombs. He started contemplating other schools gloomily, knowing that it would put more financial pressure on his parents, which could have been avoided. Then, one Friday night, he got an email from the admission councilor that he had a dialouge with , telling him to check his status, followed by a smiley face. He happily opened the page, expecting to have gotten into economics. Lo and behold, he had been accepted off the waitlist into the business school. Dreams do come true.

Wow congrats

Congratulations!

That’s wonderful!! Congrats to you!!

@Abetterlife: CONGRATULATIONS! So happy for you! Work hard, have fun and enjoy your college years.

Congratulations! There is hope :)

lol kind of fruity how you told this story, so people are starting to get in off the wait-list now?

i don’t think your story is “fruity” at all. congrats and hook 'em :)

And the ■■■■■ strikes again.

Fruity, hmm. I was trying to give hope to the Juniors who are not iin the Top Ten Percent. But I guess there is a trade-off there. Some may say that even “The Shawshank Redemption” was fruity.

Thank you for your story, Abetterlife. It will definitely give other prospective students hope when they begin their application journey next fall. Disregard the “fruity” comment–that poster does not know from what he speaks.

Good luck at Texas. :)

I think I know you… :0

I have been rejected by McCombs twice so I know how it feels but congrats on getting in and good luck!
