Im a pretty good student and my grades usually show. At the beginning of high school i started off terrible but i've been working really hard ever since and my GPA now is twice what it once was(currently a 3.7 for senior year). Im an Eagle Scout, playing 2 varsity sports, an active member of a nationwide school organization (FBLA), as well as 2 mission trips to Jamaica and a steady job. I do not have any AP's however... Everything about this school is perfect to me and i'm extremely interested. Do i stand a chance?..

Likely need a little more information to guide you. Does your school offer AP classes (or dual enrollment or IB) and if so how many? Generally we do encourage students to take the most challenging courses in which they can be successful which includes AP classes. However, we evaluate each student in the context of their school environment. If few or no APs are offered, we certainly don’t expect you to take them. If your school does offer a large number of APs, keep in mind that most of the students in our pool enroll in them so that might be a part of your application in which you’re less competitive than many of your peers. However, there are other areas in which you might be more competitive.
