Hopefully Screwed (or Not)?

Ok, in September I'm going to be a Junior, right now my average is 97 with 1 AP and 8 Honors classes under my belt.

SAT II Chem 790
AP World History 5
GPA 97

Next Year: AP Bio, AP Psychology, AP English, AP US History

Extracurricular:

1) VP of Philosophy Club

2) Member of the 4-person Oceanography Team in school

3) Member of in-school Math Team (no positions, because its technically a special 'class', we have a teacher)

4) Speech Team (I'll most likely join next year since my Englsih teacher told me I'll be good)

5) I write poetry in my free time, I have a portfolio of my writings, mostly free verse...

6) I've won essay awards, and plan on submitting poems to contests too.

This summer I am doubling up at volunteering, working as a youth advocate in my neighborhood to reduce traffic in the area and promote environmentally friendly activities and also volunteering at a library (practicaly 2 blocks away). Hopefully I'll have 200 hrs by the end of the summer.

Also the summer, I'll have to teach myself calculus and differential equations because I'm planning on doing a physics/computer science project (like for the Intel competition)

So, comments?

So you see, I don't know whether I'm too all over the palce. Just so you know, I'm not trying to build my resume or anything, I really do like all of these things but I'm like a Math-Science nerd but also likes Philosophy/Poetry that kind of stuff, am I in trouble because I'm too all over the place and don't have a niche?

P.S. for my essay, i'm just gonna give the admission people a piece of my mind (my philosophical side/psychology-love will spring to life here) Is this a good idea considering Stanford is a math/science place?

I live in New York, Asian male, I'm screwed aren't I?

ops, hoping for Stanford, forgot, lol

I think it's good that you're well-rounded. It sets you apart from the math-only applicants. If you're going to shoot for a school like Stanford, you should have more confidence in yourself! Because if you don't, how can the adcoms?

Good luck over the summer! :)

Don't worry about your activities being all over the place. My main ECs would probably sound really random to someone who doesn’t know me - debate, religion, business, volunteering, among others, and I’m going into computer science. I just spent some time on the application to explain how much each one meant to me and how they all tied together with my personality. Perfect attitude; just give them “a piece of your mind” and you’ll be fine.

bumpity bump, any other takers?

...are you honestly asking this question in all seriousness?

You're "screwed" for doing what you like and being devoted to them?

...

^ yes, it's serious...i don't know whether these ECs are good
