hoping for NYU or Northwestern

<p>My dream schools are Northwestern and NYU. Can anyone tell me my chances of getting into either? I applied into both school's journalism programs.</p>

<p>GPA: about 4.1, rank: about 20/200 I have a 1320 SAT I (690 verbal / 630 math), my SAT II scores weren't so hot, do they have a huge impact on admissions if they're not REQUIRED?</p>

-newspaper (11-12) features editor, jr. and editor-in-chief, sr.
-chorus (10-11)
-speech / debate (10)
-set / stage crew for school musical (11)
-recycling club co-founder (12)
-school news show (12)</p>

-Who's Who Among American High School Students (12)
-Honor roll all four quarters (9-12)
-Academic letter (10-12)</p>

<p>ok, your sats are a little bit low and your ecs are a bit unfocused.</p>

<p>However, you do seem to have an interest in news/journalism through. Perhaps that may help. Make sure you write good essays and you'll have a shot.</p>
