So I just found out that i got a 4 on the AP Calculus BC test which gets me this credit (M408C-A or M408K-A & M408L-B). I really want to go to medical school and GPA is a big part of that. so i was wondering what some of you would suggest... and is there any way to just get credit for the classes without the grade. thanks i know its hard to understand

yeah you can just declare credit only. you dont have to take the B.

jhoopster, you may check, but my S who is at UF also had gotten AP credit for calculus but was told by the honors advisor that medical schools would not take the AP credit and that he had to take calculus for science majors for later admission to med schools. Of course it was one of the hardest classes he's ever taken!! Anyway, you might check just to make sure.

The following is the URL to a web site that lists calculus requirements to med schools:

i think for Calc BC, you can only get the A and B grades and cant claim just credit. HOWEVER, starting sept. 15th, they are not giving grades for AP exams and just credit...so wait until then to claim just credit and no grade for 408K and 408L...thas wat i plan to do cuz i got a 4 on the BC exam also

Darn, I wish he'd known about that website, he just went on the counselors recommendation. Harvard will accept AP credit (lol, like he could get in there!). I guess UF won't accept it and that is what she went on. Anyway, he got a b and was happy with it! After a year of hard, weed out science courses, he has decided to take English and econ courses this year. One of the many who decides pre-med is not for them!!
