I have a 2.48 GPA, with legitimate reasons as to why this is so. Is there any way to explain this on my applications?
ACT: 28
Have no extracurricular activities, no AP classes (although I may audit AP chemistry- would that count for anything?)

Is there any chance at all of me getting into anything but a community college? I want to go to BYU, but I know I can't get in there. Do you think I could transfer, though?

Do you have any other choice at this point? Unless your legitimate reasons are utterly compelling, there doesn't seem to be much of a light at the end of the tunnel here. Your best option is to transfer later on from a JC. A 2.48 is remarkably low for any top 100 university. I think you have a chance at transferring, but there's no chancing that right now if you haven't even started JC.

i dont see why going to a community college is bad though... your could always transfer anyways so why not? i could understand if u have a 3.0 or something, but not a 2.48
