I plan on majoring in Hotel Management in College, anyone here have good lists of the top 5 schools in Hotel management? Also like themselves are/did majoring in hotel management?

Cornell University

The rest. I think Michigan state has a program as well and UNLV.

Cornell and Michigan State are the big ones.

Is Michigan State tough, and competive to get into for Hotel management?

I have no idea. I didnt really know cetain majors haad different requirments. That average ACT and GPA at MSU is a 24 and 3.55 though. Im going to MSU next year and its really not that hard to get in.

Can you contact me via AIM about how the college life is there please, cause I have my mind on Purdue, MSU, VT and possibly Cornell. My aim is listed as on profile

I dont have AIM, and I dont really know much about the college life there because I am attending MSU next year. If you are interested in Hotel Managment then MSU is alot better then Purdue and VT. I dont know much about VT but Purdue is pretty much an engineering school. Cornell is alot more competitive then MSU also. I would go to MSU because you get alot of school spirit with all the Div 1 sports they have. Also your GPA will probably be higher because MSU is an easier school. Cornell is also an engineering school.

ah okay thanks. I'm a HS Junior. I wonder if I can make it though. I'm trying to redeem my sophomore year grades...

A guy who graduated high school a year ahead of me went to Shepherd (sp) State University in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. He had done pretty well for himself, managing of the large hotels in Washington.

Cornell is the Big Kahuna in hotel/restaurant/institutional management. The Statler family, who owned a number of hotels at one time, endowed the hrim progam at Cornell big time.

If your worried about getting into MSU you can probably forget about going to Cornell.
