HOTEL SCHOOL interview on-campus!!

So I'm driving down to Cornell to do my interview for the hotel school and was wondering if there were any questions - other than the ones posted on the hotel school website - that i could / should prepare for!

if you have done the interview, please let me know any questions that i can expect!!

i also found out that they ask you a lot about the work experience -- i have a summer internship at a five star hotel in korea, a summer job at a restaurant in a francophone restaurant in winnipeg, manitoba, a pianist at a senior home and a swim instructor volunteer in my home town!

thanks in advance for the replys!!

My cousin was admitted last year to the hotel school, and she said they ask you a lot of casual questions. It is a given that they are going to ask about your leadership positions as well as your work experiences. I heard that they as you a lot of questions based on your resume though, so you won’t have problems with your excellent work experiences! Are you planning to ED to the hotel school?

Good luck. It’s a great school. It will open many doors for you. The hotel school is also very well run. Everything-from the application process to registration for classes to the professionalism and kindness of the support staff-is outstanding. The other students come from all over the world and are generally fun and hard-working people.

Sometimes they’ll talk with you about travel. It’s very important that you are comfortable with all types of people. They might not ask about this directly, but it always seems to be an underlying theme.
