Hours per week?

The answer to this question won't really affect me for a while -- I just finished sophomore year -- but I've always wondered about it:

When you list the number of hours per week you spend involved in your ECs, how do you represent different levels of involvement through the years, or are you not supposed to?

For instance, I'll obviously be spending more time doing stuff for my journalism program next year as editor-in-chief than I did at the beginning of this year as a staff writer. When applying, do you just list the most recent data?

You average over the time period you listed.

Agree with entomom, although I would add a caveat. You might consider listing your single activity as two separate items:

-Varstiy football - 25 hrs/wk for 14 wks/yr
-Off-season conditioning - 10 hrs/wk for 30 wks/yr
