No, triple roomates in one room. Take a look at the layout on this page.

well i guess if you like privacy... you could shell out $14,000 for a Single in the new rieber vista!!! jkjk.. or not..

the three bed combo works like this: bunk bed on one side of the room, loft bed on the other side

the two bed combo is obviously 1 bed on each side of the room... you can try to rearrange this too.

wow Loooooooolllll that room looks SOO small... how could u possibly sleep if ur roomate(s) is doing hw late at night?? i only see one desk available for doing hw.. and a drawer for cloths.. >___<

kfc4u, even if i were rich i wouldnt want to live in new rieber vista. i think imma gonna hope for double occupancy instead of triple. "three's a crowd for me"

are sproul, rieber and dykstra all the same type of rooms or are they different?

sproul, rieber, dykstra, and hedrick are all the same style rooms. Dykstra's rooms are a bit shorter however - which kinda sucks because now i can't turn my desk to face the window like i did in my room in Sproul. Its not that big of a deal tho

There're actually three desks in the triple room, one's under one of the bunks. There are two regular closets and a wardrobe-thing. And well...if you're sleepy enough, you can sleep through anything.

is that one room for every three people? wow i feel kinda ripped off for living 10,000 a year in such a small room.. u'd think that ucla isnt making a profit off of this but its like $30,000 (for three peeps) for that small room. i mean the only advantage i see is laundry, food, electricity, etc but still.. i bet u can find a nice apartment nearby for around $1600 a month and share it with a roommate or two. that would be much larger... only drawback is food, bills, etc.

a triple at residence hall (smallest rooms) only cost from $8300 to $9000 (depending on meal plan). so its cheaper than you think, and i'd suggest visiting one of the rooms, its not as small as it looks online. i feel as if the triple is adequate enough.

kfc4u, I hope what u say is true. but unfortunately we gotta make up decision b4 may 2 which is really really close (for me at least). I wish there were more time for college visiting... even though theres spring break i got lota crap to do and prolly wont have time to travel south (im from bay area).

I lived in a double in Hedrick and it was incredibly spacious! The triples do look slightly crowded, but as long as you keep it clean, it shouldn't be a problem.

My preference is a double at either Dystra, Hedrick, Reiber, or Hedrick Summit if available to Freshmen.

yeah "if"... dang I wish housing were a bit more finalized b4 accepting admissions.

Well UCLA does make an effort to have its students accomadated nicely. Georgetown dorm rooms were a lot smaller than UCLA's.

what are the chances of regular freshmen getting housing in de neve or sunset village?

Westow, I know what you mean. I would suggest a double in either Sunset or De Neve if you are more of a private person. :) You can still make friends there if you wish and there are always opportunities to meet people through clubs.

I used to live in Rieber, and its good.

At Dystra, the food sucks, so avoid.

At Hedrick, there used to be more social scenes and less boring people when I was a student. But I am not sure about these days.

Sproul used to have a nickname, "Asian Town", because all those Asian brats used to hang around at "Sproul Turnaround" for smoking break, picking up people before going out, and showcasing their 15 inch rims on their car.

Sorry, daraver, gotta disagree again - I'm assuming you're talking about the De Neve dining hall when you talk about Dykstra food, but De Neve is actually one of the better dining halls on the hill. Covel is the worst, no contest. Rieber and Hedrick are pretty good. I usually go to De Neve or Rieber (Hedrick is too far, since I'm pretty lazy :))

DaRaverLA, i think UCLA has since built DeNeve after you have graduated. it is probably the most popular dining hall, and that's usually where most dykstra kids go eat, as well as in crossroads cafe (mexican food) at bradley international hall.

i dunno, maybe it's just personal preferences, but i find covel to be quite good, rieber and hedrick are okay.

sproul turnaround isn't really asian town... just on thursday night LOL, when a lot of frats (usually the asian ones) meet up there to go to parties or whatever.

I hate Sproul turnaround. Didn't someone get stabbed there?

really? when?

speaking of food (im hungry), but college food in general are free right? i mean they are included in ur college housing rents or w/e? elaborate if im wrong...
