Housing choices at Conn?

Can anyone give me opinions on different dorms on Conn campus? (convenience, "vibe," best rooms, etc? Thank you!

I was also wondering the same thing. Does anyone know which house most freshmen live in? Is it hard to meet new freshmen students if you live in specialty housing (such as substance free or wellness housing)? I hope someone can answer this. Thanks

there are about 20 dorms on campus, and all have all four years integrated in them. They are divided into South campus, Central campus, and North campus.

South campus: very popular to live in. close to academic buildings, main green. very social dorms. Have smaller dining halls in them (but not open on weekends). nice sized rooms

Central: less hectic than the dorms in South. located in between the academic buildings and harris (the main dining hall), right across from the library and student center. substance free and quiet dorms are in Central. big rooms

North: also known as the Plex, less popular due to distance from classrooms. new buildings which are bright, have elevators and air conditioning but people complain that they are too sterile looking. the newer plex has more singles than other dorms, so you wont find as many freshmen (but they are still there). great for weekends and when the weather is not so nice because its attached to harris

We toured a number of dorms during the accepted students open house, and there was no dorm I did not like. I think Conn has great dorms and you can't go wrong with any of them. My son liked Conn a lot, but decided to attend elsewhere.
