Housing Distance to Classes

Near which tower are the majority of freshmen classes for a Biology major/ Art minor? The Lincoln Tower or Taylor Tower?

I am guessing Lincoln but it really just depends on where they schedule the classes. They can be all over.

If I am a Computer Science Major and Honors Student which Honors Housing dorm would be the closest?

Would that be Computer Information Science, or Computer Science Engineering?

If CIS, your freshman year will be spent taking a lot of GEs outside your major, and so it matters less where you live, since your classes will be spread across campus.

If engineering, you will take fewer GEs in the liberal arts/ social sciences, and will probably have most of your classes around north campus, where the engineering/ math buildings are. The CS buildings are located fairly central campus, not too far from either Taylor Tower (north), Lincoln Tower (west), or Siebert (south). I believe engineers do tend to end up on north, but I knew a fair number in Lincoln.

How about a psych major in the Honors program?

How big a deal is the lack of A/C down south - I heard they don’t have AC in the south dorms.

Thanks

What about an Honors Physics major? What would be the closest?

I’d take North for Physicis and maybe South for Psych.

My pre-major’s for Engineering and I’m in the Honors Program, so I assume I’ll be in the North Campus? But I’ve heard that North Campus is really quiet and not very social compared to South Campus. Which Honors housing should I request for?
