housing due on feb. 28th?

<p>Hi! I got the email reminding us to complete the housing contract but I'm not quite sure whether it refers to the $25 fee to reserve the housing spot a little after we applied. I signed on to the housing portal and it said my housing app was complete. But a friend told me that contract is not the same thing as the $25 housing app to reserve your spot. Apparently we need to pay $200(non refundable according to my friend's phone call) to guarantee a place for housing.</p>

<p>But since I'm still waiting to hear back from other colleges, I definitely don't want to pay a non refundable $200 if there is a chance I may not attend at all. :/</p>

<p>What exactly do we need to do for housing before feb. 28th? XD thanks!</p>

<p>I’m in the same boat as you - waiting to hear from other colleges in March/April but wondering what to do about the $200 due this month.</p>

<p>Your friend is right about the difference between the $25 housing application fee and the $200 housing contract fee. Unfortunately, I paid the $25 AFTER finding out that I got accepted, so I’m probably not going to get the best housing preferences if I choose to attend UF. :/</p>
