Dear Freshman Housing Applicant:

We have received your housing application on-time and are currently preparing housing contracts for mailing in accordance with the preferences that students indicated on their housing applications:

For students who indicated Arroyo Vista as their first choice preference, contracts will be mailed by May 31st.

For students who indicated the Residence Halls as their first choice preference, contracts will be mailed at the beginning of June.

Given the high demand for freshman housing, we invite you to consider an additional housing option for incoming freshmen.

Campus Village is an on-campus apartment community, centrally located off of the main campus ring, near the Science Library. Traditionally a transfer and continuing student community, Campus Village may have a limited number of spaces for incoming freshmen. These spaces will be clustered together with groups of four freshmen (single gender) sharing a 2 bedroom, 1 bath furnished apartment. To obtain further information about Campus Village, please go to the Student Housing Web site at http://www.housing.uci.edu/cv/. Photos of Campus Village can be found in the Housing Photo Library at: http://www.housing.uci.edu/photo/album.asp?album=3

The 2007-08 rates for furnished apartments in Campus Village are listed below, along with the rates for Residence Halls (Mesa Court and Middle Earth) and Arroyo Vista.

Meal plans are not included in the Arroyo Vista or Campus Village rates, but residents of these communities may select from a number of voluntary meal plan options at www.ucidining.com.
