housing for 2nd years

so i didn't realize we'd have to decide where we're living so early (the deadline is like jan. 26) and I'm not sure what to do. Where do most 2nd years live? On campus or off? And if on-campus, then which buildings cause I don't want to end up living with a bunch of first years...thanks!

some second years live in apartments or in fraternity/sorority houses, but i think most stay in the dorms. if you’re gonna do dorms, i’d choose saxon or hitch (or really anything except a res hall) if you don’t want to live with freshman.

Most 2nd years live in the dorms. The 2nd years that I know living in the dorms usually live in Rieber Terrace/ Vista and Sproul (may change next year b/c I think Rieber Hall is opening). Usually you can get a group of your friends and then invade (or sign up for a room on) the same floor in a building and such and voila, less first years.

btw, the 26th is just the app fee due date. nothings finalized till later. if you change your mind, youll just lose the 30 bucks

me and my group of friends are taking an entire floor in sproul next year haha

i think most second years will live in courtside, canyon point, rieber(probably the hall too), and saxon/hitch

^yeeeee sproul!

hopefully it won’t be hard getting a double in sproul as a 2nd year next year haha. but yeah, most of the 2nd years i know live in the dorms still… just not hedrick/dykstra haha.

Early this year I freakin missed the deadline to sign up so I ended up with Dykstra… my floor was ALL freshmen, except maybe 3.
I remember one day I was doing some EE homework and a girl walked in and when she saw the math on my monitor, she rudely said “EWWW” -_- freshmen… hahaha
So… I decided to swap to Sproul because I had been planning that before even moving in.
