Does anyone know when we get our housing results back?

I heard it was some time at the end of this month, but i dont know how true that is.

Isn't it mid-March?

So, it will be out in like few days?

The deadlines used to say something to the effect of mid-March, but they took down the text supporting that.

So the EARLIEST I think we'll start hearing is later this week.

I just heard today from Channing Bowditch

Do you already live at CB?

No, I did not

Welp, I just got my offer. For the record it sucks and does not match my request in the least, which disappoints me. Oh well. So much for living on campus during my college career. :P

ETA: It was a triple in Unit 1.

I got double in unit 2, it could have been worse.

"Please note that your contract must be received at the Housing Office by 03/23/07 or your offer will be rescinded!"

"Please note: These are projected rates for 2007-08. Confirmed 2007-08 rates will be available in early April."

This is ridiculous. The housing costs won't be final until after contracts are signed.

Is there anyway to know if you got your requested roommate before paying the $300? This sucks.

i didn't get an email...crap. does this mean i don't have a contract?!?!?!?! asdflkjasklfjel.

sweetdreams: Well, I'm certainly turning down my triple, so you may just yet be offered something. :p

Yay i got my first choice! Unit 1 Double in mini-suite!

i got a triple in unit 1 ... totally not one of my 5 choices. two of my friends got triples in stern, one got a suite in foothill. none of them put those down either. why does cal housing hate continuing students? =(

you know that's what I'm amazed at -- one would think CalHousing would at least offer me an effing triple in stern (not that i would take it), but I didn't get anything at all. It's very strange, I mean, how low was I/my requested roommate on the lottery system?

that is odd, from what i've heard, if you request a roomate you almost always get your number 1 choice. strange...

Cal Housing is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous- my friends did not get any of their top choices and were offered triples in the unit high rises along with many other students.

Example: They say that minisuites are only offered to sophomores, and then when the school year starts dozens of freshmen move into them. And continuing students who wanted mini suites were offered freshmen triples. See this lack of logic?

Just email if you really want to change. They're pretty stupid so sometimes you just need to give them direction. Last year my roomie and I got placed into a regular high rise double (sophomores), but we emailed them and the next day we got placed into a minisuite.

Oh, and I finally got a contract! channing bowditch =)

sweetdreams87, are you a sophomore? gah, my friends and i wanted to get channing bowditch but decided not to apply for them thinking it might be for upper div, grad students?

anyway, i ended up with unit 1 double. i wish i could know my roommate beforehand.
