Where is the best place to live if you are a sophomore transfer students? What is the chance of getting a single in a dorm?

Chances of getting a single dorm are pretty slim, mostly because it goes by seniority of the student and almost everyone wants one. HOWEVER they are kind of expensive and what with the economy the way it is they might not be as popular as they have been. But I would guess that with Mizzou’s student population (last I heard from my professor the avg family income on campus was $110,000) they’ll remain hard to get.

The best place to live all depends on if you’re a suite style or community style person. College Ave is nice, suite style, new and pretty social, Responsibility, Discovery& Excellence are all suite style but no one knows anyone or interacts at all. Schurz is old-school community, Defoe-Graham, Hawthorne, Dogwood & Galena are all new/newly renovated and mixed as far as suite/traditional – but they’ll be the hardest to get into.
