Housing for transfer sophomore

I just got accepted as a transfer, I'll be entering as a sophomore for computer science. Seeing as how late I got admitted, I was wondering what options I still have for private certified housing, and which places people could recommend?

As to any on campus or private certified housing, you will have a problem with getting housing because you are applying so late. However, you are likely to get on a wait list -- private certifieds tend to have a number of rooms open about the end of July/early August for wait-listed persons. Problem with certified housing is that they all want a deposit even if you just go on waitlist; in other words it can be expensive to apply to multiple private certifieds just to get on multiple wait-lists. All the private certifieds are adequate; none is luxurious. Tactically, if you end up having to wait-list, one of the larger ones -- Illini Tower, Hendrick, Bromley, will likely offer more chances of getting off the list.

If you're over 20 y.o., UIUC is currently offering a deal where you can live in graduate housing (either Sherman or Daniels).
