housing help por favor

I have been accepted through summer as a freshmen.

I plan to stay on campus for summer to get a feel of where everything is, but I really do not want to live on campus for fall. I don't think I can handle sharing a room with someone and would rather share an apartment with other girls. It is also so late that if I sign up for housing I am bound to get the crappy dorms with the community style bathrooms and I am a veryyy painfully shy person who doesnt know anyone else going to FSU :(

Does anyone know how to find other freshmen or girls who might will be willing to share? Or how to even go about finding an apartment?

I'm the first in my family to go college so we're all a little lost in my house.

Help would be much appreciated :)

I've only ever met a couple freshman who live off campus. Living on campus is (in my opinion) so much more beneficial, because then you can walk virtually everywhere, food is close-by, and it's a much more social environment in which to experience the first year of college. You might change your mind after living here during summer...

That being said, though, I don't know any freshman living off-campus next semester, sorry :[ Good luck!

I like living on campus for the convenience, but I wouldn't want to stay past freshmen year in a dorm. It's great at first to meet new people and everything, but you can really get a better deal and be in a nicer place if you go off campus. I would really recommend living on campus your first year though.
