Housing help!

<p>Hey guys, so I've pretty much decided on UCLA but I'm holding out on it as I'm still doing a little bit of comparison between UCLA and UCSD haha.</p>

<p>Anyway, I applied for housing a few minutes ago and I'm a little bit confused. Am I supposed to be able to select which housing facility I want? Like, should I be able to rank which building, like 1. Hedrick 2. Rieber etc. or is it completely random for freshman?</p>

<p>Or...do I have to commit before being able to choose which hall I want?</p>

<p>Also, when do meal plans come in because I haven't seen any options about that at all...
is that after I get an offer?</p>

<p>You do not get to pick. You rate your choices 1,2,3 for single, double or triple and 1,2,3 for hall, plaza or suite. Generally you get your first choice of one of the two.</p>
