troy hall east is baller. you got hooked up

I wanted Troy hall East and they gave me Founders which is really far away!!! I'm requesting a reassingment because I dont want to walk that far every day!

Yeah, Founders would be quite a walk from campus...kaitylin, when did you get your housing assignment?

I got a triple in Troy Hall East too, but I going to request reassignment for a double. And like Kaitylin said, at transfer orientation it was announced several times that housing is guranteed.

That is very good news that they will have housing for all the transfers...

I sent in a reassignment for a double in Troy Hall as well...but if a double is unavailable then I guess I will just have to settle for a triple...

Dumb question, but: Pets are forbidden at all housing locations, right? I just got a new cat (actually, I found her in the Sonic parking lot), and I don't know what to do with her now... I refuse to take her an animal shelter; I'd rather she NOT be put to sleep.

Correct, pets are not allowed in university-owned housing. It's probably too late now, but it may be possible to find off-campus housing with a more accommodating contract that would allow pets.

Ummm...in the off campus apartments they do allow fish that are in tanks less then 10 gallons....:)...but no four legged animals...

sigh... so, my little cat stays behind in Missouri... ok.... :(

Hey, I'm in a three person triple in Troy East as well. I hope that I'll find out who my roommates are soon.

I just got my reassignment- Cardinal Gardens 1 bedroom/2 person. It's close to campus which I like a lot since I was originally in Founders which is way far away but does anyone know anything else about it? Is it a nice dorm

I lived in Cardinal Gardens last year. Compared to residential halls, it's an incredible amount of space for two people. There are even two sinks in the bathroom! Having a bedroom as well as a living room means you can watch TV or study in one room if your roommate wants to do something in the other. It also makes great space for entertaining.

Having your own kitchen is also a great convenience, and the appliances were in good condition. Superior Grocery is right across the street, while the nicer Ralphs is a 10-15 minute walk to the north.

Apartments in general arent nearly as social as regular dorm halls. You may get to know a few neighbors in your stairwell and the RA will arrange some activities, but people are inside with their doors closed most of the time.

Also, USC football players are scattered throughout the complex and things occasionally get rowdy at night. Players will often screech in and out of the parking lot with their stereos blaring.

Aside of the occasional noise and mild social isolation, I found my apartment to be comfortable, spacious and peaceful.

This virtual tour shows the room pretty accurately:

does anybody know from experience or through rumors how it is like to live in a triple in troy hall east???? because i couldnt get a reassignment for a double and i think ill go crazy living with three ppl in a room.

I am in a Troy Hall East triple also....from what I have heard (from the housing dept) it looks like it won't be that bad because it is very rare that all three of you are there together...people are constantly coming and going with different schedules, ect. Also, I heard that it is common for there to only be 2 people in it at night because people might go to party / stay over at a different room / ect...so, I hope that it isn't that bad..anybody have any personal experience with this??

I am most worried about space...where to put all of 3 peoples stuff in one room could be tough

yeah thats true but it all depends on the roomates on how they are as well. but that could be bad because it would be difficult to make friends with your roomates if theyre constantly in and out of the room. im just really not looking forward to the limited space thats all. but thanks for the reply awin422!
