Yes Rockoff is an option if you can’t find anything else. I think Rutgers got rid of it because they were having a problem filling it. They do have 9 month contracts, though. And it’s not bad if you rent as a double or quad.

Best bet is to find something as close as possible to College Ave. I always recommend parents reviewing their student’s off-campus choice before making a commitment. Again, rentals in NB are highly variable in condition.

Oh good. My son said that he likes building C the best (closest for parking and general building access). Tell your friend to look inside the building before they choose their room if possible. The hallways are really long and the exits are not where you think they will be.

Quick question about housing!
I am an incoming freshman for the fall and have already sent in my enrollment deposit… im not sure which dorms I should live in though…
I will be majoring in nursing and plan on rushing. I would like to be around girls who also plan to rush and be near most of my classes if possible (im assuming most of my science pre reqs would be on busch? not sure though)

I like college ave because of the city feel, but i know its really hard to get as a freshman. My only concern is how many freshman actually live on college ave. I don’t want to be surrounded by mostly upperclassman.
I like busch because i believe that is where most of my nursing classes will be. Not sure though. Also i heard that it was newly renovated.
I heard that Livi is where the majority of freshman live. If that is true i think maybe it would be best to live there.
I really didn’t like the rural feel of Douglass so that is out of the question.

I am a really social person and love meeting new people and going out. However as a nursing major i know that i will have to stay really concentrated on my studies which is why Im not sure if i should live on College Ave, as i heard that it is all parties and no one ever gets any work done.

If someone could tell me a little bit about each dorm it would be greatly appreciated!! I don’t really know where to start

I think that you will do fine on any of those campuses. Frats/sororities are located on College Ave but it is easy enough to take a bus from Busch or Livingston. I don’t know about the nursing program, but as a freshman it is likely that you will have classes on 2 or 3 different campuses.

Someone told me that they got one of the last Silvers Apartments with a number in the 1000’s and an all sophomore group. (will be juniors next year)

It would be interesting to hear what rising juniors got for housing this year. Did you move off-campus? Did you get on campus housing? What was your group points # and your lottery # either way?
