hey, i have a specific question, perhaps for molly if she gets a chance since i know she lived there...are closets provided in macgregor rooms? like a place to hang clothes? what about in burton-connor? (my first 2 choices) what kind of storage space can i count on to be supplied by mit?

Eee! I feel special because I can answer this question. The dorms I saw inside Macgregor (including Mollie's) didn't have closets, but they did have armoires.

That being said, I don't know if that's the standard.

hmm does that mean folding only, or hanging type?

There's hanging space, but it's quite small (between 3-4 feet in length I think). There are also drawers.

Yeah, my general understanding is that very few rooms have actual closets built into the walls. I think they call them "elephant closets" because they're so big. It's a huge piece of furniture with drawers, shelves, and hanging space. (I know this to be true for BC, and I think MacGregor, McCormick, and Random from what I know/have seen.)

So would each person have their own "elephant closet" or would each room have one to be shared with a roommate?

Heh, Timur's been in my bedroom. ;)

The closets are quite large -- I'm a total clotheshorse and I've never had a problem. Most people (and basically all boys!) end up using at least part of their closet for non-clothing storage.

The multiple-occupancy rooms I've seen have multiple closets.

for all the interested non-prefrosh, I noticed the i3 videos have finally been posted.
