Hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone could help me with a payment question. Will the overall net payment of a quarterly plan be cheaper than the monthly plan? Does initial payment vary if you choose quarterly over monthly?

thanks ahead of time

p.s what's the difference between 14p and 19p besides extra meals? they seem to cost the same in the estimated amounts.
and can someone give me a net payment for hitch suites quarterly and monthly? thanks!

overall net prices are exactly the same. its just a matter of which is more convenient/better for you/your parents financially or otherwise.

i prefer to do it monthly since i pay with credit card, and i dont want to tie up a huge lump of credit on the card by charging several thousand at a time.

if you will need to use financial aid to cover housing costs, then do financial aid quarterly.

I downloaded the "On Campus Housing Payment Plans" and it says the monthly plan (for example) one room three occupants in a Plaza is $1150 with 19P (so 8X $1150= $9200) and quarterly it's $3000 with 19P (so 3X $3000= $9000) but grark says the intial payments are different.. so the total amounts should end up the same except the sheet doesn't say....I assumed quarterly was cheaper from the sheet...

they all end up the same overall.
...think about it, why would UCLA offer a discount based on payment plans?
the initial payment DOES make it all even.

initial payments differ based on whether you're going to pay monthly or quarterly, and while i don't know what the first installment of the initial payment is (but the 2nd is available to look at), i do know that they even out in the end.

keep track of your initial payments, and a friend's who is on the other plan, and you'll see xD

oh dont even get me started on that rant...
my parents are always mad at me when i spring housing payments on them. i think i'm on top of things with tuition and everything and then inevitably i forget to check housing...
