Hey. I’m a transfer student that transferred last year. I purposely picked to dorm in the residential halls (which is mainly full of freshmen) because I wanted to be surrounded by people around the same age as me (I’m only 1-2 years older than freshmen). I’ve heard that Wada and the mini-suites are pretty quite and not as social as the reshalls. It depends on what you want and what kind of person you are. I’m a pretty social person and I loved the reshalls. You’ll forget about the age difference quickly. But if you go in with the attitude “aw ***** im living with freshmen” then you won’t have fun. There’s also the Martinez Commons which is reserved for sophomore and upper divison students. It’s a new dorm that they are still building right now and will be open in the fall. I’ve heard the channing bowditch apartments are pretty dead in terms of social. They usually try to keep transfer students together in the same room and sometimes they put all the transfers on the same floor.
