Housing question

I got accepted to IU in november. I turned in my application to wisconsin in december. I want to know W-madison's decision before i try to apply for housing at IU. Most likely i'll attend IU, i think i'd feel more comfortable there. I know your supposed to apply early for housing. What would be considered early and what would be considered late to send in for your spot for housing?

i'm interested in studying art history by the way

IU requires a $200 deposit for housing that is essentially non-binding...that means if you submit your application for housing and do not attend...and let them know this by July 1...then you get all but $50 back.

My feeling was that it was better to apply for housing early than to forgo the $50.

Hope that helps.

Well, the year before last, my son didn't decide until the end of April that he would attend IU, so that is when he sent his housing deposit in. He applied for Honors Dorm and got it. I guess it depends whether you really want a particular special dorm. If not, you have plenty of time.
